SBRT treatment (Extracranial Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy)

SBRT is similar to radiosurgery but must be performed on small-sized tumors developing in any anatomical location outside the head. This technique requires a good immobilization system and control of this immobilization to be able to administer high doses in very few sessions. The doses delivered are generally between 5 and 20 Gy per session, and 1 to 7 sessions are necessary. SBRT is usually associated with IMRT or VMAT.
