Dar Chifa Radiotherapy Clinic Founded in 1991 using a COBALT device of type PHENIX 780 (2D), the first in the central and southern regions of Tunisia.
Our clinic has consistently followed technological advancements and progress with the installation of an ACUITY (VARIAN) simulator, allowing for personalized tumor localization and delineation with customized immobilization and shielding devices. The technical platform was enhanced with 3D technology through the installation of a VARIAN type CLINAC IX linear accelerator, a dosimetry planning system (TPS) of type ECLIPSE, a dedicated HITACHI scanner (16-slice with automatic injector; dedicated digitized carbon fiber table; 80 cm tunnel), and a mobile laser set of type A2J.
In 2016, Dar Chifa Clinic advanced to the forefront of adaptive radiotherapy technology with the acquisition of the sophisticated IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy) dosimetry program.

3D
Relies on using images of the patient obtained by a CT scan in the same position as the treatment will be administered. The obtained images are reconstructed in three dimensions (3D).
IMRT
IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy) is a form of high-precision external radiotherapy in which the radiation dose delivered by each beam is not uniform.
VMAT
VMAT is a form of IMRT in which the radiation dose is delivered to the tumor during a continuous 360° rotation of the treatment unit."

Thanks to the new, modern, and sophisticated machine currently available at our clinic (Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator equipped with advanced MV, KV, and CBCT imaging systems)
